Thanks for the confirmation! I made a bunch of calls last Friday afternoon — going against my gut feeling that nobody would be around — and really did connect with people. Fridays work.
Perfect way to start the week. Thanks for the healthy dose of enthusiasm.
I love the new monday motivational minute. In times like these, small companies can adapt and flourish!
Mary Ellen, going against the grain almost always works! While your gut might have been right in that there are not as many people around on Friday afternoons, rest assured there are FAR less people around contacting the ones who are there. This leaves the field WIDE open for someone like you who is willing to do what others won't. Keep up the good work!
LH,
Glad to be of service and thanks for listening. Rest assured there's lots more where that came from.
David,
Couldn't agree with you more. While small companies might not have the resources to compete with large companies, they are much better at adapting to changing conditions and markets. In addition small companies can make and implement decisions far faster since they're not bogged down with extra levels of bureaucracy, which can cause paralysis.
Great stuff. I've found that Saturday mornings is the perfect time to make sales calls. Many small business owners work on Saturday mornings and don't get many telephone calls, so they are keen to pick-up yours!
Hi,
Great advice and I agree, a great start on a brand new week full av potential, the rest is up to me. Thank God It?s Monday!
I think that Monday afternoon, Friday afternoon and between 4.30-6 pm ever day, is time slots that works for me (in Sweden).
Ed, that's great advice about Saturday mornings. When I worked as a dress manufacturer in the Garment Center my clients were retailers; both large and small. I found Saturday mornings were a great time to call them, since retailers work on Saturday, but my competition didn't: leaving it wide open for me.
Hasse, thanks for the great advice. For all of you reading these comments, listen to what Hasse has to say: he's one of the top sales trainers in all of Scandinavia, and really knows the European market.
Good hearing from you my friend.
I enjoyed the podcast monday morning. i have decided not to join the recession, i want to continue selling, and go on,,there is much out there, i am on the positive side, attitude is what sells, you are right either way, you can't or you can, here in canada,we are can'adians not cant;nadian.
