Warren. Completely agree. Email is probably one of the best tools for mediocre sales people. It allows them to tick off all their sales tasks without actually doing any work! If a new business enquiry email comes to me then I telephone the client right back. In a world of electronic communication, they are so surprised to be contacted by a real person. It makes all the difference and it's something that my competition are not doing.

What a terrific point you made! Imagine, you can differentiate yourself from the competition with just a phone call. It's so easy to be successful.
By the way folks, I happen to know that Ed is a Web 2.0 guy. If anyone would use technology as a crutch it's him; but he obviously doesn't. For him to write that comment, that kind of says it all.
