Tuesday Quick Tips

Have you ever asked a client or prospect when they would like you to follow up and they say, “That’s OK, we’ll call you?” Naturally, you don’t want that to happen because, a) Most likely they won’t call and, b) You’d prefer to control the follow-up process. Here’s a tip to make sure this doesn’t happen.
Next time a client or prospect says, “That’s OK, we’ll call you,” just say, “Don’t bother,” and wait for a second or two to let the shock sink in, then quickly say, “That’s not your responsibility. It’s my responsibility to follow up with you.” I guarantee it will work almost 100% of the time and you’ll walk away with a firm date to follow up, and control of the process.
